Hey Everyone in Scrappyland....Robbi here

to show you the layout I have been working on lately
Liz sent me some of the new Antique Bazaar paper and it really is antique! (right up my alley)
I don't usually like working with Die Cuts but this one took my fancy and I quite enjoyed getting into it
there seems to be a lot of quite cool embellishments that go along with this collection
Why not pick yourself up the whole collection for around $58 (I'm sure it includes the stamp set and that alone is usually about $13)  Antique Bazaar Collection Pack or purchase separate papers and get creating
here is what I made using the die cut and other goodies

I have added the little chipboard bike and cut slits at the top and bottom to slip in the corresponding papers
A friend gave me this old photo a long time ago and I have been waiting for the right papers and with the old bike in the background it was perfect.
If you wait long enough you will always find the right papers for your project!

Here is a close up of the embellished area...I am loving the clocks that go with this and you can even get a whole sheet of just clocks!
I think Kaisercraft is onto a winner with this collection.....they really seem to be nailing it lately with their paper collections
Here is another card I made recently but it is using the new Durable papers from Authentique
these have to be the best male papers I have played with in a very long time ...although I see the Kaisercraft now has Scrap Yard and that is awesome for those real grunge boy pages....dirty knees and slingshots that's what its all about.
this was one of the cards we made at my recent card class, we used a small amount of chipboard wire which the ladies coloured black and added. We also used some of the 3x4 ATC cards that Authentique put out to go with the collection
HINT:- in case you didn't realise you can just buy the packets of cards and use them as your embellishment on you card/layout or OTP goodies they really don't just have to be for the pocket pages

this is the inside of the card and we have layered up the journaling panel that was the bottom area from the NOTES tab on the main card front.
Come check out the papers at Authentique Durable Collection
Ok that's about it for me this time short and time I will be back with the Kaiser Scrap Yard layout etc and goodies I have been playing with.
who is going to SENZ this year...its on from the 10th - 12th July and Artfull Crafts will be there with all their pink deliciousness and goodies for you to see touch and play with now that a lot of bricks and mortar stores are closing its a good opportunity to come along and chat to like minded ladies and a little bit of shopping on the side!
Tell hubby he's looking after the kids for the weekend your away with the Girls!

Betsy - A Card Class

Betsy here today to share a couple of cards which I have previously taught at Artfull Crafts. The ladies seemed to enjoy making these and of course I find it so much fun, just being with them. Wednesday mornings are always enjoyable at Artfull Crafts as we learn to branch out, sometimes out of our comfort zones, but we do learn new tricks etc. If, over the Winter, you have some time on your hands ,do check out what is on at the shop and come join us.

Now back to the cards. I do hope you get some ideas for your next projects ladies.

This first card is a circle step card. It was made using the lovely collection from Kaisercraft, called Cherry Blossom. Spellbinders Beaded Oval Die was used to cut out the oval and the flower was made using tissue paper. The bird was cut using Tim Holtz die. We sprayed through a stencil using Glimmer Mist - the effect is lovely.

For our next project we made a tag. Again we used the Tim Holtz birdcage die, spraying it with Glimmer Mist then stamping it with a script stamp. We coloured the bird using Kaiserfusion Alcohol pens.

That's it ladies must return to my workroom and continue the good work. Trust you are all enjoying the holiday break even though the weather has turned a bit sour.

Happy crafting all and many blessings. See you again soon.

Melissa - Chasing Rainbows Layout

Good morning!  Its Melissa here, are you remembering Anzac Day today?  We are going into Queenstown for the 9.15am parade.

I've been playing with the awesome Chasing Rainbows collection by Kaisercraft again, and I made this layout about our 11 year Wedding Anniversary last year.  My husband took us on a tour of the places we'd been on the day - the church, reception, and where we had our photos in Arrowtown.

I used the gorgeous painter-type paper, but toned it down with some white cardstock that I used water colours and ink on, and then machine stitched onto the background.

The words were cut out of the sticker sheet.

I made the two tags by tracing around an existing tag.

Thanks for looking and have a blessed long weekend.

Christine S. - Oh So Lovely & Chase Rainbows

Hi there.  How are you today? Christine S. here posting a couple of layouts featuring the awesome new collections from Kaisercraft.  The first one has layers of 5 different sheets from the Oh So Lovely paper pad (which have been lightly coated with gesso) on a plain Bazzil cardstock for the base.

Nice To Meet You
I then added some texture paste with a damask template.  When completely dried, I've layered 3 different colors on it: Prima Cotton Candy Color Bloom Spray, Grape Ape Chalkboard Mist & Periwinkle Bouquet Glimmer Mist both by Tattered Angels.
The flower cluster is added to the right side of the photo which consist of the following delicious flowers: Zva Pink Graceful Roses, Jasmine Paper Flower, Kaisercraft Sea Breeze Paper Blooms & Prima Marketing flowers.  I've then added a few die cut pieces from the collectables & paper pad.
More touches were added to the background with Kaisercraft stamp & The Crafter's workshop stencil with some black & dark purple ink.  It's all finished off with some pink doilies, alpha stickers, green pearls, a dragonfly chipboard & some journaling.  I don't have the best handwriting in the world but I really wanted to document the story behind this photo.

This is the second time I've used purple on my layouts & I'm pleased how it turned out. This color gave this page an extra lift & goes well altogether.  I'm not scared of purple anymore...woohoo! Do check out the Oh So Lovely collection here

The second layout is from the colorful Chase Rainbows collection.  I really like this page & I hope you will too.
Got The Moves

Oh yeah, she makes me want to dance, dance, dance...just check out those moves! I love the green sand on the Tint paper.

She has been very attached to this pink sunnies lately, she'll take it with her all the time.  Oh to be pedantic! I wonder where she got that from? :) I've cut a strip from the Light paper & cut out some blue arches from the Dye paper.  These are layered behind the photos with a strip from the sticker sheet.

Some doilies were cut out from the Ombre specialty gloss paper & placed throughout the photos.  I then added some Maggie Holmes chipboard frames & finished it all off by adding some stamping, stenciling, light misting, wood veneer, alpha stickers & journaling strips.  I have journalled here how I was cooking in the kitchen while singing to Taylor Swift's super catchy "Shake it Off" song.  She heard me & came running to the kitchen & danced to the beat of my singing. It was so funny & adorable.  Lucky I always have my camera handy, & she willingly posed for the camera!

Don't forget to check out the Chase Rainbows collection here.  Thanks for stopping by & keep an eye out for more inspirations from the team.

See you then!

Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar Mini Album Part 2 by Beverley

Hi Everyone Bev here again with part two of my Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar mini album. Today I will be showing you the inner part of the album. Presently I do not have photos or anything but decorated pages as I have not thought about what I could use the album for yet.

The binding system I used was what a friend showed me but I don't know what it is called and I forgot to take photos! It is similiar to concertina binding but instead of using one long piece of paper you use different size border strips from just over an inch to various sizes up to the thickness of your spine on your book. I will have to do another and take progress photos as it is so much easier then other types of binding.

I have used the 6 x 6 Paper Pad and Collectables from the Antique Bazaar Collection as well as various embellishments from the shop and my personal stash to create fairly simple pages. This would make a great heritage album.

Thanks for looking at my creation on the blog today - I really enjoyed creating it and now I need to make another to show you the binding!
Have a great week!

Kaisercraft Antique Bazaar Mini Album Part 1 by Beverley

Hi everyone its been a little while since I have shared a project on the blog. In my design team pack for this month was Kaisercraft's Antique Bazaar. It is a lovely vintagy collection and so I decided to create a mini album with it.

The album cover is using a cut up cardboard box which has had the top layer taken off it so you see the ridged inner part of the cardboard.  I have not used a lot of the Antique Bazaar Collection on the cover - only one of the diecut sayings.  The rest is decorated from my own purchased products over the years from various shops including op shops. The ink I have used is Tim Holtz Walnut stain. Along the spine I have adhered ribbons and a key for interest.  The closures I found in a Japan shop but was thinking you could use thin old belts or old watch straps. The little bird is an op shop find while most of the other products are Prima.

Here is a few views of the album.

Thanks for visiting the blog today - next week I will show you the inner pages that are really easy to create. See you then!

ChristineB - Antique Bazaar Cards

Hi there, Christine B here, today I have some cards using Kaisercraft's Antique Bazaar Collection......

I have used kraft cardstock as my base for these cards, I like how it goes with this Collection. The cow stamp I have had for years! It is one of my favourites as I am a bit of a cowgirl!!!
The 'For You' sentiment has been cut out with my silhouette cameo - trying to use this machine more as there is such a lot it can do!

This set of 4 are smaller gift cards, you can see I have used the stamp and have cut out single cows from the row on a couple of them .
Here is a closer look at one of them....

The sentiment is again cut out with my cameo.

Happy Creating!

Betsy - New Cards

Betsy here this morning to share some cards I have recently made.

A big congratulations to the winners of last month's challenge - it is wonderful to see the amazing work that so many of you do. Keep it up!

Lately I have been playing with a BoBunny range of papers, Heritage, and I have joined it with Marion Smith's collection, called Timekeeper. Both collections are gorgeous and fit so well together. Love to know your thoughts ladies.

This is a new shaped card that I discovered on Pinterest. Not sure what it is called but thanks to the lady who shared it. I found it interesting to make and it was a little bit different. Aren't the papers gorgeous? The LOVE die is one of Kaisercraft's new additions, which can be sourced at Artfull Crafts.

A very simple card for this one and I do love that waxed cord which can be purchased again at Artfull Crafts. Spellbinders, Floral Ovals was used to cut out the sentiment.

Another simple card -  for this one I just used a corner of the Timekeeper, Antique Emporium paper for covering the base card, some lace, a brown border cut with Martha Stewart punch, more waxed cord in brown, some Prima flowers and of course some bling. Hope you all enjoy the viewing and get some ideas for your next projects.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Until next time, happy crafting and many blessings.

Christine S. - Oh So Lovely

Hi there, how are you today?  I hope you've had a great long weekend, & perhaps got some crafting done.  Christine S. here posting a layout featuring the Oh So Lovely collection.  No explanation needed for it, as the collection name says it all.  Here it is:

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

It's such a pretty & oh so feminine collection! The die cut specialty gloss paper is a great base/background for framing your special photo, especially larger sized ones.

It comes with lots of pretty collectable pieces, & you can see the lovely bird, pink dragonfly & bird cage here.  My favourite would have to be the leaves, as they're so real looking! Some touches of mixed media gave this layout some oomph.

I've added some brown & coral ribbon roses, along with some light pink paper blooms & white doilies.  The layered papers behind the photo are gorgeously glossy, & they come from paper pad.

It's finished off with some metallic splatters.  I really wanted to document this photo of my eldest daughter, as she'll only be this young for so long.  In a few months she'll be going to Primary School.  It feels just like yesterday when she was my little baby girl, cradled in my arms, & now look at her.  Forgive me for being a bit sentimental, as they grow up so fast! Do check out the Oh So Lovely collection here.  You get a 20% discount for purchasing the entire collection.  Thanks heaps for popping in & have a great day!

Oh So Lovely Cards - Megan

Hi Everyone :)

Today I wanted to share with you a couple of cards Ive made using the new Kaisercraft collection, Oh So Lovely and my newest obsession ;) the Prima Dolls Stamps.  This collection is a lovely feminine one with soft pinks and grey and aqua.  Its beautiful!

This first card was a bit of an experiment and Im pleased with how it came out - otherwise you wouldn't be seeing it lol  ;)  The background has been created by tearing pieces of paper and placing them on top of the plain base piece.  Ive then gessoed over the top to give it a 'white wash' type of look.  Behind the frame are strips created with a mixture of paper and wash, and then lastly Ive randomly stamped over the background.

The close up shows you some of the detail in behind that cluster.

This next card was fun to create! :)  Ive coloured some of the doll but made her clothes out of scraps of paper - to give the dress a bit of depth Ive layered the dress above the frill with foam tape.

The doily in the background is from the shop - it comes that colour!  A perfect match to the collection :)  and there are oodles of colour choices to choose from too.  Ive layered the same die over top of the doily, in two different cardstock colours before adhering my chipboard stars.  These I have gessoed, then stamped and inked.
Those Prima Dolls I just love, although the colouring thing Im still learning how to do!  When I was little I loved paper dolls, so maybe thats where my love for these has come from.

Oh So Lovely is available in the shop for preorder at the moment and has 20% off and there just happens to be some Prima Dolls in the shop too ;)  not that Im enabling you in any way but you can find those here.

Thanks for popping by!

Betsy - Upcoming Card Kit

Betsy here this evening to share the cards that I have made for the monthly card kit, using, yes you've guessed, Betsy's Couture. Checking up on the schedule tonight, I discovered that it is my turn to write up a post, hence the lateness. Anyway better late than never. Easter seems to be a very busy time for us here, but now we have settled down to a more relaxed life, hopefully. Do hope you have all had an enjoyable break, the weather has been amazing over the weekend, hasn't it!?

I have to say again, that it is a gorgeous collection - Kaisercraft has again excelled. I feel very honoured to have this range named after me, and I thank the lovely people there, for this honour. I will be able to show my appreciation to them personally, as we are heading over again for the Retailer's Days at the end of June. It will be great to catch up again - I so much enjoy the time spent at Geelong, catching up with the folk there.

Now ladies, this kit is available at Artfull Crafts - in it you have all that you need to make these six cards plus of course left overs for making more. Do put through an order if you would like to receive one. Thanks for stopping by, and sorry it is so late in the day.

Very happy crafting ladies and many blessings,
