Lowri - Ruby Rock-It Projects

Hi Everyone - Lowri here

I am Guest Designing today for the Ruby Rock-It blog and I am using the fabulous Vintedge Collection. I am from the UK so I was really keen to work with these fabulous prints! Here are the first of my projects I shared and I have more to come over the weekend.

Travel Album

This blank chipboard album from Maya Road was the perfect base for this fun, blank travel album. The pages are all ready embellished ready for the recipient to just add their own photos.

I covered all the pages with the paper, and added embellishments making it a really simple project for a non-crafter to complete. Where an embellishment overlaps the photo area – I was careful to only put adhesive outside that area to make sure photos can easily be slid underneath. Love Card This double sided heart paper was a real treat to find in this collection. I have created a simple tri-fold card (you can see a template on my blog here) and embellished it using elements from the collection.

For the 3-d heart I die cut a heard from several layers of adhesive chipboard and wrapped some of the paper twine around the outside.

There are heaps of sentiments on the stickers – suitable for any occasion and there are also lots of chipboard pieces with some fabulous design elements.

Gift Box

This folded paper box was created using the Flourish paper with a plain paper base. (I have a tutorial for making this on my blog here) I went to town with the embellishments - but the recipient can easily keep the box after cutting the twine to get into the gift!

Treat Bag

I made this as a fun little gift for my mother when she looks after my kids. It has some band-aids, panadol and a small bottle of vodka inside – just for emergencies!!

Embellishments
These little spools holding the twine were just too cute to ignore. I wrapped some paper round them and I know I will find a use for them sometime! The paper in the collection pack was perfect for folding too – so I made a few flowers – they always come in handy for decoration too - see my full tutorial on how to make them here.

Hope you have enjoyed these - please leave a comment or email me with any questions

Betsy - Bella, Vintage Chic Cards

Good morning all - Betsy here today, before we head off to Australia, ( had to add that bit!!) to share a couple of cards I have done with with the lovely Bella, Vintage Chic collection that is on Centre Stage at Artfull Crafts for the month of June. Hope you enjoy.

Martha Stewart punches were used for the borders, the flowers were part of the collection. I just aged them a bit by crushing them up. For this card I gathered up the organza ribbon as a change. Rather like the effect.

Marianne Birdcage die was used to cut the birdcage, otherwise a simple card. I love the colours in this range. Do click on the photos for a sharper view.
All from me today, really must go and pack my bag.
Happy crafting and blessings to all,

Betsy.

Louise - Ruby Rock-It Nostalgia Layout

Hi Louise here with a layout to share today.
This month our centre stage company has been Fynmark and Ruby Rock-it. I have used the Nostalgia Kit from Ruby Rock-It for my layout along with the photo from Zippy's first taste of solids......

He looks pretty impressed by them I must say, it is a shame it didn't last though :( He has now completely gone of food since he had a sore throat.

That is is from me for today, I am back to resting up while I can until Monday when hubster goes back to work.

Christine - Bella, Vintage Chic Layouts

Hi there Christine here.

These 2 Layouts I made with a Kit Liz has put together using Bella - Vintage Chic Papers and fabulous chipboard buttons, Kaisercard and lovely ribbons.
Plenty of goodies to make these 2 layouts and still some leftover to make another layout or some cards.

Happy Creating!

Louise - Magnolia Love

Hi Louise  here with you today to share a couple of cards featuring the new Magnolia Stamps which have just become available at Artfull Crafts.

First up I have an Autumn inspired card........

I used Magnolia "Sweet Crazy Love - Rose Scent Tilda"  coloured with prisma pencils and OMS on watercolour paper, I cut the image out with sharp scissors to get a better edge and mounted it on the mat which was cut with My Favourite Things Die-namics - Oval Open Scallop Doily.  The papers are from the  Ruby Rocket Nostalgia collection.  I glimmer misted a prima resistant canvas with glimmermist in Sunsisters & Meadow Green

On this second card I have used softer colours and given the card a more shabby look. I used Magnolia Stamps - Sweet Crazy Love - Heart Balloons  coloured with copics on watercolour paper. I have used a 6x6 MME paper pad for the papers which are edged with Picket Fence Distress Paint as are the Sweet Nothing Collectables I have also used on the background.  I have glimmer misted the seam binding and prima resistant canvas with Electric Blue and Vintage Pink glimmermists.

These magnolia stamps are very cute and fun to colour and there is a great selection available at Artfull Crafts so be sure to check them out.

Sandy - Paper Doll Clock & Cards

For my last post this month, I have some cute Ruby Rock-It projects for you. They mainly use labels and journal cards from the Paper Doll and Paper Boy Tokens papers.

This clock has a tag for it's face and is suspended it from a photo frame. A hole is punched through the acrylic to allow the hands to be attached to the clock mechanism (hidden behind the tag).

These two cards were created for a class I taught pre-teen girls where they learnt to layer paper and embellishments. As the Felties and Chipboards came in a range of colours, they had a creative time choosing their favourites. Each girl ended up with unique cards based on their selected combinations.

For more Paper Doll project ideas, come check out this Doll's Dresses Banner   and this card created using only the Tokens paper. Don't forget to join in our June challenge where Liz has lots of lovely prizes up for grabs.

cheers, Sandy
